I'm breaking out the pastels today, nails and all. Though I'm not spending spring break on a beach, it was almost seventy degrees in sunny Cincinnati. The beautiful weather called for short sleeves and a hint of spring color. I also bought myself some beautiful tulips which happened to make a great prop and are now brightening up my bedroom. After the long winter I am definitely forcing spring wear upon myself but fortunately the temperatures are slowly rising. I love the delicate pleats and crochet peter pan collar on this feminine top paired with a loose fitting pair of boyfriend jeans.
On another note, you may have noticed I've been carrying around Darling magazine. I absolutely love this magazine. I've always been a big magazine reader and this one is by far my favorite and most unique. None of the women are retouched at all. I'm sure this is something I'll expand on in another post later, but I don't agree with altering the way someone looks to make them look more "beautiful". Creating an unattainable level of beauty through super edited pictures destroys the confidence of so many women. This is a truly authentic publication and I can't put it down. Though it may sound like it, this is not sponsored by Darling, I just love promoting what I believe in.
I hope you all are enjoying the first few days of spring!
xx Mariah
